This place is definitely a hidden gem! The service is always fantastic and the couple who own this restaurant are always friendly and accommodating. Great prices, wonderful food! The lunch specials are the best! If you don't want to deal with an overcrowded chain and would like something delicious, cheap, and local I would definitely recommend La Fogata.

Wow! We are from California and this was SO authentic, we absolutely loved it! The pupusas (El Salvadorian) were amazing and everyone loved what they ordered.

Food was delicious. Nice relaxing atmosphere without the loud Mariachi music. Food was freshly cooked, promptly served and nicely plated. Plan to go back often.

Small Family run Mexican restaurant in Wyndhurst. Very Tasty, good service and nice atmosphere.My favorite is the talipia and shrimp dish.

Wonderful experience! Food is fresh, plated nicely, and nice atmosphere. Although there was a TV on the wall, it was not turned on and it was so nice not to have it blaring in your ear. Best Mexican food I've had in Lynchburg...sweet people!

Great homemade Mexican!

It’s a small mom (Anna) and pop (Sam) restaurant that serves the most amazing Mexican food. The Salsa is the best in town, the chicken in every dish is succulent and tender. But don’t go if you are in a huge hurry, the owners work very hard but it is only her waiting tables along with their daughter sometimes, and he cooks. Shrimp tacos or the chicken quesadillas are among my favorites.

Great authentic Mexican food. A little small for the environment, but a great hole in the wall.

The best Mexican in Lynchburg in my opinion. The salsa actually has some spice to it. Somedays it can actually be a little spicy/hot which speaks to the freshness and home-madeness. All the other places in town serve what I would say is just 🍅 with salt. (Slight exaggeration)

Better than most chain Mexican restaurants

Our first time trying this place out was fantastic! Their food is some of the best Mexican we've had in the area (we ordered a Carne Asada & Beef Fajitas). We were eager to try it again and decided to order out a couple weeks later. Unfortunately our second experience was inconsistent with the first. Our portions were significantly smaller and when we asked for no rice with a substitute of extra beans, we still got the rice, and the other dish was completely missing salad, beans and pico. The food is quite good, but their quality of service and continuity is lacking.

Best salsa in lynchburg truly indeed! Laid back and relax place my family loves to keep coming back. You’ll get your money’s worth. Sanchez and his family is like our family we so oftenly go there coz the food is really delicious and great! We will miss this place when we move...

We were looking for a place to eat on Cinco de Mayo and landed on giving La Fogata a try. And we weren't disappointed! The food was great and the drinks were just as good. The fajitas came out sizzling and the tortillas were some of the best I've had. I will definitely be going back the next time I'm in town.

Fantastic food, great family, and truly wonderful to have here in Lynchburg

Food was very good, beans are homemade and not canned. Truly authentic Mexican food. They had two servers in the front, so not slow service as we had in the past when dining here. My only complaint is the rice needs some help. Fresh, but flavorless.

Absolutely love this restaurant. My wife use to go every Sunday after church. We feel in love with the small mom/pop atmosphere. I prefer their food to La Careta. It’s a place you have to visit at least once. Because they are small, when they get busy service may a little longer, but it’s so worth it. One of the best restaurants in Lynchburg.

Food tastes excellent! Good prices. Portion sizes a little underwhelming, but in truth probably just about right. Most importantly, it would seem it pays to be a regular... Perhaps it was sitting in the corner that left us inconspicuous...? Very friendly and prompt.
